The Armour of Elohim Angela J. Willard “For the rest, my brothers, be strong in the Master and in the mightiness of His strength. Put on the complete armour of Elohim, for you to have power to stand against the schemes of the devil. Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies. Because of this, take up the complete armour of Elohim, so that you have power to withstand in the wicked day, and having done all, to stand. Stand, then, having girded your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, having taken up the shield of belief with which you shall have power to quench all the burning arrows of the wicked one. Take also the helmet of deliverance, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of Elohim, praying at all times, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the set-apart ones” Eph`siyim (Ephesians) 6:10-18 (ISR).
We are to be at peace with all people, whenever possible [Romiyim (Romans) 12:18]. When we are walking in the ways of Elohim, He will cause even our enemies to be at peace with us [Mishlĕ (Proverbs) 16:7]. “Blessed are the peacemakers, because they shall be called sons (children) of Elohim” Mattithyahu (Matthew) 5:9. Be at peace, speak peace, walk in peace, child of Elohim.
4. Belief: Eph`siyim (Ephesians) 6:16: “Above all, having taken up the shield of belief with which you shall have power to quench all the burning arrows of the wicked one.” Elohim’s Word is true and your faith in His truths will guard you from the enemy’s lies. Whether you received a word from Him in The Scriptures or other written word or received a prophetic word that resonated with your spirit, you can believe His word! “Ěl is not a man, to lie; nor a son of man, to repent (change His mind)! Has He said, and would He not do it; or spoken, and would not confirm it? [Bemiḏbar (Numbers) 23:19]”. Abraham believed the word of Elohim, even seeing the impossibility in his human flesh, he believed what Elohim said. Elohim saw Abraham’s faith and called it righteousness [Berĕshith (Genesis) 15:6]. Abraham’s faith in Elohim’s word caused Abraham to be in right standing with Him, to come into agreement and alignment with Him. We must partner with Elohim by believing His word, standing on His word and not wavering. Stand strong in your belief! 5. Deliverance: Eph`siyim (Ephesians) 6:17a: “Take also the helmet of deliverance…” As children of Elohim, through our faith in atonement of our sins through Elohim and Yeshua’s sacrifice on our behalf, we are delivered from the schemes of the enemy and no weapon formed against us will prosper—unless we let them! We must allow His truths to cleanse our minds and transform us so we can stand against enemy attack. “’No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall prove wrong. This is the inheritance of the servants of יהוה, and their righteousness from Me,’ declares יהוה” Yeshayah (Isaiah) 54:17. Where the enemy attacks most is in our own minds. Through the Word of Elohim, we have deliverance over those attacks. Yeshua gave us a very good example of this in Mattithyahu (Matthew) 4:1-11. Speak out His truths to destroy Satan’s lies! 6. Word of Elohim: Eph`siyim (Ephesians) 6:17b: “…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of Elohim.” We must use the word of Elohim against the attacks of the enemy—they are our spiritual sword! We do this not only by believing His words but by declaring them out loud into our atmosphere. When Satan tempted Yeshua in the wilderness, he was defeated by the Word of Elohim every single time! [See Mattithyahu (Matthew) 4:1-11.] As children of Elohim we have authority over the enemy [Luqas (Luke) 10:19.] Use His words to attack Satan’s lies. ‘Is not My Word like a fire?” declares יהוה, “and like a hammer that shatters a rock?’ Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 23:29. Use your spiritual sword! 7. Prayer: Eph`siyim (Ephesians) 6:18: “Praying at all times, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the set-apart ones.” Prayer is essential and it is simple. Prayer is talking to our Heavenly Father, Elohim, Creator of all things. What He desires most from us is a relationship, not religion. We cannot have a relationship without good communication. We build that relationship through prayer. Just talk to Him honestly and directly, the way you would with a best friend who loves you unconditionally. We must go before Elohim with clean hands and a clean heart because He is HOLY. He cannot even look upon sin. Sin will keep us from having open communication with Him, like a wall between us. “But your crookednesses have separated you from your Elohim. And your sins have hidden His face from you, from hearing” Yeshayah (Isaiah) 59:2. Through confession and repentance of our sins, and belief that our atonement is through Yeshua Messiah, we are able to go boldly to the throne of Elohim with clean hands and a clean heart. We go to Elohim’s throne of grace with our prayers and praise and make our requests known. We thank Him for all we have, no matter how much or little we may have, we honor Him for it all. We ask for our sins to be forgiven, for protection, for wisdom and direction for our lives, for our needs to be met, and we pray for the needs of others. Without the armour of Elohim we will not be able to withstand the attacks of the enemy. Wear your armour, child of Elohim. Turning the Negative Into a Positive by Angela J. Willard All my life I have battled with negativity and other lies from Satan, our enemy. Much of the time it is through hurtful words from people I care about. Those attacks also come directly from him by “plopping” negative thoughts into my mind. But I learned that all of that is just garbage not worth meditating on. What we need to meditate on is what God (Elohim) says about us. Whether is from The Scriptures (Holy Bible) or prophetic words spoken to us, meditate on the good. I had to do this just this week after something someone said hurt me very deeply and took the joy right out of me. I had a deep sadness for days then realized I was battling depression and took action commanding depression to leave me and my house. I woke up the next morning completely free. Then I made a list of all the negative words that were said and wrote a separate list of what God says about each of the negative “arrows” shot at me. Then I threw the list of negatives in the trash and hung the list of what God says on my wall. Focusing on the good : “Elohim is with me, He strengthens me and holds me up with His right hand of righteousness” Isaiah 41:10. “I trust in Elohim and I am set upon high ground” Proverbs 29:25. “The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in יהוה is set on high.” Proverbs 29:25. Anxiety seems to be everywhere these days with a lot of people struggling with it, including myself. When anxiety gets the best of me I remember it is rooted in fear and fear is the opposite of faith. I realize that I am in a battle that is in my mind when fear or anxiety hits me. I choose faith over fear and speak out God’s truths over the situation and over myself. Affirmations: “I am not afraid” Exodus 14:13, 2 Kings 6:16 “I do not fear people” Numbers 14:9, Joshua 10:8, Isaiah 51:7 “Elohim has set me before the mountains, and when I speak to them they crumble. I possess and conquer the mountains” Deuteronomy 1:20 “I am not discouraged” Deuteronomy 1:20 “I do not fear my enemies for Elohim, Himself, fights for me” Deuteronomy 3:22, Deuteronomy 20:2 “I am strong and courageous” Deuteronomy 31:6, Isaiah 35:4 “I fear no evil, because I know Elohim is with me” Psalm 23:4 I will put a list of these affirmations and scriptures in the group files titled: “What Elohim Says About Fear/Anxiety” so you can always have them to read and speak out when you are struggling with fear/anxiety. It is important to speak out the truth instead of the lies. Some fear is healthy, like fearing a rabid dog or jumping off a cliff, but fearing people you don’t know yet is not healthy. Sometimes anxiety can hold you back from your destiny. Do not let fear stop you! Step out in faith :) Another way negativity will sneak into our lives is through worry. We worry if we will have enough to pay our bills, feed our kids or even ourselves. We worry if people like us or not, We worry about way too much! So let us focus on what God says: “Do not worry at all, but in every matter, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Elohim. And the peace of Elohim, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds through Messiah יהושע. For the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is righteous, whatever is clean, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, if there is any uprightness and if there is any praise – think on these.” Pilipiyim (Philippians) 4:6-8 https://biblehub.com/isr/philippians/4.htm When we worry we have the tendency to complain about our problems and talk about our problems and all we stress over instead of the positive. When I catch myself being negative due to worry I remind myself that God does not inhabit our gripes and complaints, He inhabits our PRAISE! So rather than speaking out the negative that is is plaguing us, we speak out the opposite while we praise Him and thank Him for all the good in our lives. Focus on the GOOD!
