Angela J. Willard We cannot imagine what Elohim (God, our Heavenly Father) has planned and prepared for those of us who love Him. His plans for us are for good, to give us a great future full of HOPE. God LOVES us! “‘For I know the plans I am planning for you,’ declares יהוה, ‘plans of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and an expectancy. Then you shall call on Me, and shall come and pray to Me, and I shall listen to you. And you shall seek Me, and shall find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart’” Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 29:11-13 (ISR). Read all of Jeremiah 29 in your study time. Elohim reveals His plans for us to our spirit. Sometimes He gives us dreams, visions (like pictures or movies playing in your mind), words in our spirit, impressions in our spirit—like He just “planted” knowledge or information right into us (a download from the Heavenly realm). We are spiritual beings! We have a soul (our mind, intellect, personality) and we live in a body (our temporary tent—read 2 Corinthians 5). Our Heavenly Father teaches us from His spirit to our spirit; not as humans teach -- with limited human wisdom and inaccuracies, but from His Spirit, His PERFECT wisdom. He loves to teach His children! “Let Me instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; Let Me counsel, My eye be on you” Tehillim (Psalm) 32:8 (ISR). “My son, listen to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes; Guard them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And healing to all their flesh. Watch over your heart with all diligence, For out of it are the sources of life. Turn away from you a crooked mouth, And put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look forward, And your eyelids look straight before you. Consider the path of your feet, And all your ways are established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Turn your foot away from evil” Mishlĕ (Proverbs) 4:20-27 (ISR). Read all of Proverbs 4 in your study time. “And do not turn aside from any of the Words which I am commanding you today, right or left, to go after other mighty ones to serve them” Deḇarim (Deuteronomy) 28:14 (ISR). Read all of Deuteronomy 28 in your study time. Note: Some churches may teach that Deuteronomy is not for today, but I do not agree. Elohim does not change, and His Word is relevant and alive today. “And יהוה said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to do it” Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 1:12 (ISR). “Ěl is not a man, to lie; nor a son of man, to repent! Has He said, and would He not do it; or spoken, and would not confirm it?” Bemiḏbar (Numbers) 23:19 (ISR). In your study/prayer time, ask Elohim how Deuteronomy 28 applies to you. As His children, we need to surrender ourselves to Him in order for His plans to be established in our lives. We surrender our will in exchange for His. We surrender our thoughts in exchange for His thoughts, our lives in exchange for our new life in Him in order for His spirit to guide us, teach us, comfort us and live through us in full capacity. Elohim is GOOD and He wants to do good through us—love people, help people, teach people His truth, and much more. With God, it’s all GOOD! Surrendering to Him is a process, a continual transformation over time. Through this transformation, we become aligned with our Heavenly Father. His thoughts become our thoughts. His ways become our ways. His words proceed out of our mouths. Our minds transform to become like the mind of Yeshua (Jesus) Messiah (Christ), who is perfectly aligned with Elohim. It is through our belief in our Messiah that we have the ability to spiritually align ourselves to God. Without our Messiah, aligning ourselves to our Creator is impossible. Having the mind of Messiah is impossible without having belief in Him. It is He who gives us the power to overcome our human nature in order to live and walk in the spirit. ‘יהושע said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’ Yoḥanan (John) 14:6 (ISR). “Besides, I wrote for this purpose also, that I might know the proof of you, if you are obedient in all matters. And whom you forgive any matter, I do also. For indeed, if I have forgiven any matter, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the sight of Messiah, lest Satan should take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his thoughts. And when I came to Troas for the Good News of Messiah, and a door was opened to me by the Master, I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother. But taking my leave of them, I went on to Makedonia. But thanks be to Elohim who always leads us on, to overcome in Messiah, and manifests through us the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. Because we are to Elohim the fragrance of Messiah among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death to death, and to the other the fragrance of life to life. And who is competent for these?” Qorintiyim Aleph (1 Corinthians) 2:9-16 (ISR). Read all of 1 Corinthians 2 in your study time. As we study the Scriptures and build our relationship with our Creator, through our belief in Yeshua Messiah, our Heavenly Father will transform us into His image and likeness. And He is Love! He will transform us into carriers of His love. The truths found in the Holy Scriptures and what He speaks to us, either directly or through others, will wash us clean and transform our minds. The washing of our minds with His words will remove negativity, bitterness, hate and any other thoughts that are from the enemy. It is our responsibility to refuse to think on the negative thoughts that are opposite to His words and truths. Just because the enemy plops something into our minds, doesn’t mean we need to think on it. Refuse the negative and focus on the positive. “I call upon you, therefore, brothers, through the compassion of Elohim, to present your bodies a living offering – set-apart, well-pleasing to Elohim – your reasonable worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim” Romiyim (Romans) 12:1-2 (ISR) . Read all of Romans 12 in your study time. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh. For the weapons we fight with are not fleshly but mighty in Elohim for overthrowing strongholds, overthrowing reasonings and every high matter that exalts itself against the knowledge of Elohim, taking captive every thought to make it obedient to the Messiah, and being ready to punish all disobedience, when your obedience is complete” Qorintiyim Bĕt (2 Corinthians) 10:3-6 (ISR). The blood sacrifice Yeshua made on our behalf is a continual flowing that covers all who come to Him from that time and on throughout the ages to follow. When we choose to turn away from our sins and look to Him, our sins are forgiven, washed clean by the power in His blood. ‘Saying above, “Slaughter and meal offering, and burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor delighted in,” which are offered according to the Torah, then He said, “See, I come to do Your desire, O Elohim.” He takes away the first to establish the second. By that desire we have been set apart through the offering of the body of יהושע Messiah once for all.’ Iḇ`rim (Hebrews) 10:8-10 (ISR). As we continue to walk in His ways, we eventually become aligned to Him with our minds renewed. When we lack the wisdom, strength or ability to do whatever He asks us to do, we go to Him for all those and He freely enables us, empowers us and gives us the wisdom we need. Through all that He gives us, we are able to come into alignment with Him and stay aligned in order to have the mind of Messiah, and to use our renewed minds to create a better life for ourselves and others. “My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the proving of your belief works endurance. And let endurance have a perfect work, so that you be perfect and complete, lacking in naught. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Elohim, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him. But he should ask in belief, not doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For that man should not think that he shall receive whatever from the Master –he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” Ya‛aqoḇ (James) 1:2-8 (ISR).
